Program + Events

There are two main ways you can experience Adhocracy 2020’s public program.

At 11am every Friday in September we are publishing 7 digital artworks from the participating projects, developed through micro-residencies held around Australia. Over the month these will accumulate to 28 works to view, read, listen and immerse yourself in.

The digital work is not the entirety of each project (in any measure! Many of these projects will go onto further development and presentation in the future); nor is it a work-in-progress. Artists have been encouraged to think in the realms of artistic catalogue meets festival of ideas meets archive of a wild year. These beautiful bite-sized offerings will give you a sense of what’s to come with these new Australian cultural explorations.

From 6pm – 10pm every Friday in September we are holding Live+Local, weekly Adhocracy events that will conjure the spirit of our physical labs of past years. Each Friday these events feature a different program of talks, panels, provocations, showings and performances. Join us at Vitalstatistix’s beautiful home Waterside in Port Adelaide – or join us online as we livestream selected parts of each night.

Please note that registration will be essential for Live+Local. All people entering Waterside will be expected to register their contact details prior to entry and numbers will be limited by social distancing requirements. Vitalstatistix has a COVID-19 Safe Plan in place.

Vitalstatistix is generously supported by the South Australian government and our many program partners. Our communications/design partner is Freerange Future.

Vitalstatistix acknowledges that we, and our home Waterside, are on Kaurna Country, its sovereignty never ceded. We acknowledge Kaurna people as the continuing custodians of the Adelaide Plains who have a spiritual relationship with this land. We respect their cultural authority. We pay our respect to Kaurna Elders, past, present and emerging, and through them to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
